Mule Palms

Just like the stubborn animal it shares a name with, the Mule Palm excels at standing up tough to cold, wind, drought, and salty conditions, and continues looking green and lush year-round. Mule Palms are a hybrid cross between a Pindo Palm and a Queen Palm, but with the Pindo Palm’s cold-hardiness. If you love the tropical feel coconut palms bring to an area but know your climate is too cold for them, the cold-hardy Mule Palm with its arching feathery fronds on single trunks is an almost identical twin. Its fast growth and moderate size make it the perfect fit for smaller landscapes.
